RAPH LYRICS WILL BE FEATURED ON LIMITED-EDITION SPRITE CANS THIS SUMMER

This summer Sprite introduces their new campaign, ‘Obey Your Verse’, which features inspirational lyrics from hip-hop superstars. Among those featured is none other than, Raph.

According to Sprite, “In 1986, Sprite became one of the first mainstream brands to acknowledge the cultural impact of hip-hop by creating a pioneering national television commercial featuring rapper Kurtis Blow. Nearly 30 years later, Sprite continues to evolve its role in hip-hop with the launch of 16 limited-edition package designs that pay homage to some of the most admired lyricists of all time.”

The first edition of this campaign features lyrics from Raph, Nas, Rakim, and the late Notorious B.I.G. The artists were selected based on their reputation for being true to themselves through their music and advancing the culture. Each artist’s lyrics will appear on individual 12- and 16-ounce cans, 20-ounce bottles, and 12-, 20- and 24-packs of 12-ounce cans, which are available now in stores nationwide through the end of summer. There are a total of five different Sprite cans with Raph lyrics available.

Check here to see the list of the lyrics that will be on the cans. Make sure to grab yours before the summers over!

Can you explain WWDC? I know it has something to do with Apple but is it like Tidal? & can I subscribe or follow @RAPH on it?

WWDC is the Worldwide Developers Conference. It was basically discussing iOS9 and the new features that come along with it. Apple Music and Connect are PART of the new features they discussed. I won’t say it’s like anything, because there are multiple music streaming services right now, but on the 30th we’ll get to see what it’s all about! Right now it sounds like Facebook for musicians??

Also, you may be able to follow him, or at least add him to your favorite artist list since he’s on Beats Music. I don’t know if they’re smashing together. We’ll be able to see what it’s all about soon! Hope I helped.

Raph speaking about using Apple Music's Connect feature to engage with his fans at the WWDC 06.08.2015: “The internet and social media and streaming played a huge role in my success when I started out. This is a big part of the industry and discovering new artists now, and it only continues to grow. This could not come at a better time for me as I’m working on my next album and preparing for bigger things. Given the success of my last mixtape being released directly on iTunes, I’m excited to incorporate Apple Music and Connect into what I’m doing next.”
